DOTA Custom Games

DOTA 2 has brought a lot of updates and improvements that the players could enjoy. Back in DOTA, HUD skins and personalized sets were not available. Players even had to install 'Warkey' in order to customize the buttons. However, one of the most noticeable changes might be the format of DOTA’s custom games. Compared to DOTA 1’s manual installation system (as shown below, players should have the custom games available in their device),
DOTA 2 provides a more convenient, one-click alternative that is embedded directly inside the original game (as shown below, the custom game is directly installable).
This method was applied to more than hundreds of available custom games, which are displayed in an international workshop for anyone to download and install, anytime. Of course, this enhances both the players’ comfort and contribution to the DOTA community – as they could upload their self-made games. Nevertheless, DOTA 2 might still need to monitor the quality of well-known custom games from DOTA – Hero Siege and Fight of Characters are some good examples – as they represent a major percentage of the playing-hours for DOTA’s custom games.
